The Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG) confirmed, this Tuesday (24/1), that the two bodies found charred inside a Siena belong to Renata and Gabriela Belchior, mother-in-law and sister-in-law of hairdresser Elizamar da Silva. The car was found by the police on January 14 (a Saturday), in Unaí (MG), a day after another car connected to the family was also found charred.

Police expertise had already reported that the two bodies found in the vehicle in Unai belonged to two women. Now tests have confirmed that the bodies are indeed mother and daughter.

“On the confirmation of the cause of death of the two, whether they were killed inside the car or if they died before, will only be disclosed after the anatomopathology examination. people were burned after they were killed. This takes a longer time to be defined”, says medical examiner Naray Jesimar, director of the IML in Belo Horizonte.

With confirmation, the number of bodies identified from the slaughter in the DF rose to nine. Elizamar and the three children, Gabriel, 7, and the twins Rafael and Rafaela, 6, were found charred in a car in the city of Cristalina (GO) and Marcos Antônio, Elizamar’s father-in-law, who was found in the residence where Renata and Gabriela were kept in prison.

On Monday night (23/1), the Federal District Police found three other bodies inside a pit, in a rural area of ​​Planaltina. Two of them were identified as Thiago Belchior, Elizamar’s husband, and Cláudia Regina Marques de Oliveira, Marcos Antônio’s ex-wife. It was confirmed that the third body belonged to a teenage girl.

The only person who remains missing in the case is Ana Beatriz Marques, daughter of Regina and Marcos Antônio.

Renata and Gabriela were kept in private prison

According to the police investigation, Renata and Gabriela were kept in private prison for more than 24 hours. In a statement given to the police, Horácio Carlos, suspected of involvement in the crimes and who was arrested by the PCDF, said that the suspects even threatened the victims and impersonated them in text messages.

He also revealed in the hearing that the bodies found belonged to the mother and daughter and that both were held in prison in a house located in Vale do Amanhecer, in Planaltina. The body of Marcos Antônio, husband and father of the victims, was found decapitated in that house.

Police are still trying to understand the timeline of the crime and whether there were masterminds. So far, four suspects involved in the massacre have been identified by the police. Three of them: Gideon Batista de Menezes, 55 years old, Horácio Carlos Ferreira Barbosa, 49 years old, and Fabrício Silva Canhedo, 34 years old, are in prison. Fabricio was responsible for watching over Renata and Gabriela in the house.

The fourth suspect is Carlomam dos Santos Nogueira, 26, who is considered a fugitive. According to the assessment of Mail, based on police sources, Carlomam would have the same involvement in the crime as the other three suspects. The fugitive would have participated in the kidnapping and murders of the victims.

The investigation of the case is ongoing.
